awards
Our awards range from a series of Golden Earphones prizes from the American Talking Book Association to Product of the Year at the World Open Learning Conference for online materials we recorded in conjunction with the British Council.
In addition we provided the audio for the Seaspeak project - international English for the maritime industry, which won the top award of the English Speaking Union. We subsequently worked on the parallel Airspeak series of recordings for pilots and air traffic controllers.
Since then we have provided educational audio for The United Nations peace-keeping
forces in different spheres of activity, and recordings we produced for various Italian and Scandanavian publishers have received awards at both the Bologna and Frankfurt International Book Fairs.
We were privileged to work on the production of the Poetry Archive, a national resource under the aegis of the former Poet Laureate Andrew Motion, which records living poets reading their own works, and is accessible free of charge online. We subsequently produced an add-on library which recorded contemporary poets reading verses of their favourite classic poets of the past and offering numerous insights into the interaction of the old and the new.
